For this reason, adding synthetic rubber to a conventional rubber sheet is limited to 20 to 30%. The mixture ratio of Hammond sheet consists of 40% natural rubber and 60% synthetic rubber. In other words, the synthetic rubber is more than double that found in a conventional composite, and this is done without losing any durability.
